Original Songs / Re: Positivity-Original

I watched a lot of Joe Gilder when I first got my DAW, and he helped me quite a bit. I'm curious what tips helped the most because I definitely hear a difference. Your voice sounds much more present and open.

As to the the tune, I believe it's my favorite from you. So much ear candy, wrapped up in a great arrangement. Big wow.

Sounds like John Barry started a pop band. Love the tones in here. Great performance and arranging. Cool tune.

Ooh, loved that ending.

There's a producer (also a blinding guitarist) named Warren Huart who has a nice YouTube channel. Every since saw him raving about one, I have had my antennae up for a good used purchase. They have garnered a small reputation, enough so that Yamaha has released some higher end models.

This post was super. Lovely playing and a cool tone. It's amazing what you can do in the box these days.

Cheers.

This is inspired. There is an ominous tone here that is a bit freaky.

And you must know I'm breaking out a flanger for my next tune.

Love the entire tune but special attention to this killer vocal. I'm seriously jealous.

That was some nostalgic fun.

This is pop gold. Has an English Beat sort of feel to it. Really well done.

Possibly the first song I've ever written from a guitar riff :o

It might not sound like it now but I initially had some trouble singing what I'd written to fit! I managed it after a few tries!

A cool version of this classic song Trist! Your vocals sound great. Going from a sort of singing whisper to an octave up is so cool. The flanged and/or the phased guitar adds a darkness to the song. Nicely done!

Nice work on this, Farrell - everything sounds crisp and clear in the mix. Special shout-out on your vocals - great clarity using the Neumann!
