The two chords are Am and D.
Here we have GarageBand drummer, percussionist and loops, as well as bass and a sort of xylophone keyboard part. Two ukulele tracks and these hasty lyrics...
reminds me of Darren Gibbons stuff.... and yes it is all you Nick.
this sounds great. lots of color in this, so much fun... so much joyous energy. the music makes my feet dance.. the uke makes my arms twirl. The song makes we swirl! I swirl.
and ever and ever and ever and ever.... twirl.... swirl...
happy ever after. oh yes... but that little voice out at the end wrecked me
the snare hits are amazing... drums sound great. splashing!
Thank you Stephen.
I've added some more information and lyrics
Oh no... You spoiled it by telling the chords!
Lately i've been thinking about you. I've been thinking about a lot of youthful noise. I even heard a song i was now familiar with after hearing your cover. It was something from the 90s and the movie might have been American Pie 2.
So what else? Yeah, i'm liking this. It's sunny so it did in fact remind me of Darren. You're doing a lot of work for selling the Uke to the masses. Must resist.
Yes just lots to like the vocal and precession are just cool.
The performance is just excellent enjoyed it lots!
Great 2 chords song .. I liked the ukulele sound.. excellent performance.
Nice one! Love the contrast between vocals/instruments. Very enjoyable listen! 8)
Yes I enjoyed the composition of the song and the deft little stop on the word "stop". Nicely done.
Just shows how you can get some very cool variation between verse and chorus with the same two chords. In fact, nobody would even notice / think about it without the context of the fest. It's a fine piece of work. Star of the show for me is that uke in the left ear - really has a great character. It does feel like one of those 90's Smashmouth style songs. Very cool, very catchy, very you!
I'm the looper man just now but you so way better, cool stuff!
Quirky as hell!
Well done. I think the best two-chord songs are the ones where you don't notice that it's two chords. I can't say for sure, because spoilers, but I don't think I would have noticed.
I do love the theme of "Nature will reclaim all it lost to the humans." It's something I've been thinking about for a long time. Since 1981 I've had a big coffee-table book called "After Man" by Dougal Dixon (https://amzn.to/3QjkEep). The book forces you to think about all of the species that we can/may/will take down with us when/if we go extinct. The species may be gone, but the niches will still be there, and nature will fill those new niches with new, wonderful species that we can only imagine – and Dixon does a lot of imagining.
Love the song.
