I heard Darrens Hobo Blues backer and thought id give it a go so I sent the vocal over to Darren and he's mixed this version a little different from the original. I got the idea for the lyrics from some photographs I saw of the homeless in San Francisco
San Francisco

used to be the city of love
(San Fran Cisco)
used to be the city of love
(San Fran Cisco)
There ain't no love in this city
Its been given to the dark of the night
The devil took man conscious
to ignite the flames of delight
The soul of man shines down
through the red light
They took love, and pushed it back into the dark of the night   (San Fran Cisco)

Oh Gomorrah
Why did man not put up more of a fight
What has been done with love
Has it been given to the dark of the night

Why
Tell me Why

All the Twisted bodies With demented tastes
That loving feeling has been laid to waste
The unfeeling Walk, the dark of night
drugs rules this world
They rule the night

Their hearts are dark
Their souls have died
(San Fran Cisco)

Everyone stolen
Stolen to the dark of the night
(San Fran Cisco)
It used to be the city of love
Now its just the dark of night
(San Fran Cisco)
It used to be the city of love
But Now its just the dark of night
(San Fran Cisco)

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

Farrell Jackson

An excellent, bluesy collab Darren and Trevor. The backing tracks are put together and mixed well. The bass and the drums are in locked step. Cool guitar work. The rhythm and wah lead give it some heaviness. Your vocals and lyric are right on Trevor...The city of love has become a tarnished zombie town. It's a mere 90 miles from us and we have no desire set foot in the once vibrant downtown and wharf areas. Nicely done guys!

oh yeah baby... the hobo is alive and kicking...

I figured this might be too good to pass...up and it fits right in with the other versions of this...

it is a sad thing, all the homeless...

i love the swirling madness of this track and the new adds and vocals take this all the way!

Hey Darren, not bad for a track you might have binned!

you can call me anything you like.  Just don't call me late for dinner

Driving rocker for sure.  Love the guitar sound and the vocal effects.

Lyrics seem to have truth to them.  Frisco isn't too healthy lately, so they tell me.

By and large, jazz has always been like the kind of a man you wouldn't want your daughter to associate with.

OK to cover but please let me know first.  Thanks!

Awesome vocal over this Trevor, this totally fits Darren's rockin instrumental. I wouldn't want to hang around Frisco either in this day and age....

Ray Brookes

Great work from you two! Cool Zep style blues with great musicianship and vocals.
