Ooh, that Phil Spectorish snare sound grabbed me right off.

I had an idea of how I wanted the snare to sound and ended up doing a lot of experimenting with different snares and reverbs. This is gated, then goes through short reverb, compressor, then long reverb and another compressor. It's close to what I wanted!

There are 4 string tracks: A mellotron emulator, cellos, string ensemble and full strings.

The solo is made up from parts of 2 separate takes, using AXP flextron vst

This is a great song, Mike. Excellent production and those guitars work so well with the panning. Nice bass playing too BTW that locks in nicely with the kick drum.

Jeez ... weird as f**k yet what a fantastic track! Nick's Bowie-esque vocals work so well here and production is off the chart. I wouldn't know where to start putting something like this together. Great work, Paul.

I used a rode nt1a mic with the Norwegian girl setting. Google Norwegian girl goal setting 😜
