(For Mac users)

Does anybody know if the BR800 can be used with the new Mac OS, Mavericks, as an audio card, transfer audio, backup etc.?

On the Boss official driver update web page:

http://www.roland.com/support/article/?q=information&id=63061613#109

there is no mention at all about the BR800, and the same for GR55 and VG99....  >:(

Roland recently announced new drivers for Windows 8.1 and Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) in the following press release:

http://www.rolandus.com/company/press_releases/article/1745

There is a new driver for the BR-80 but not the BR-800. However, the press release states "Additional drivers for Roland products will also be added as they are completed." So perhaps a new driver for the BR-800 is coming. BR-800 users with Macs might want to contact Roland to ensure that they're aware of the demand for compatible BR-800 drivers.

I haven't tried my BR800 yet but I've been using my BR-80 as an audio interface with OSX 10.9 with the older Mountain Lion driver and its working fine. I have not tried any other functions!

On top of that, Roland suggests that I don't upgrade to 10.9. I'm using a mid 2010 macbook w/8GB. Its only 3&1/2 years old and still under Applecare.

Unlike wives, you can never have too many Les Pauls.
