Quote from: Ray Brookes on May 11, 2024, 05:55:17 PMI missed this one when it was posted over 6 months ago. Lovely weaving melodies and those great chord changes to chords I probably never heard of. Nice bass lines too and the overall production/arrangement is first class.
I was wondering where you were back then.  Oh well, better late than never.

Hi all. I've been away for a few weeks. holiday and work keeping me busy. So getting back to listening to some songs now.

Here's a song Keith wrote about Climate change and the climate change "business"..and the theory that it's all a con. A money making exercise worth trillions of dollars. I too believe it's true and climate change is just a natural cycle the planet goes through every few hundred years or more. Even respected geologists and scientists thinks its all a load of rubbish. Just another way to get us to pay more for things and pay more taxes. and let the politicians look good.
Thanks for listening.

 Follow the Money

Follow the money...hey, hey, hey, hey ...follow the money

All that you see and all that you hear
All that you love and all that you fear
Just follow the cash before the trail goes cold
A climatic rainbow to a pot of gold

Follow the money...follow the cash (repeats)

Oh man how they love their words...snowflakes all abound
Stick 'em all together and they all sound profound
You WILL spend your money...You WILL make 'em rich
But you won't save this poor old world...ain't life a bitch?

Follow the money...follow the cash

(INSTRUMENTAL OUT)

A great song about a familiar subject. I love the production on this. Great music. Those stuttering horns sound brilliant. I love the drumbeat too. fantastic vocals and lyrics. A superb catchy pop song, like a blast from the past.

Thank you all! It was a good day. Spent it out of town, relaxing, napping, reading, playing a little guitar.

A crazy contrast between the joyful music and the sense in the lyrics of confinement and irresistible malevolent infusion. The song begins with warning: Do not be deceived by the catchy cheerful music: Memento mori... Memento Morrison.

As others have said: The vibrato! The bass! The solo! The production!

Perhaps the contrast between the music is not ironic, but serves a purpose. Your inner struggle – the demons in your head, the relentless attack from nature – is finite and futile. Embrace it.

Original Songs / The quiet man

This is a song about a lot of decent people out there who never find or experience true love because they are too quiete.
I know a few good people who just could break out of that shell.
Hope you like it.

My eyes are opened and I see

A heart of steel is pulling me
Away from all that I desire
I need someone to light the fire
A quest for love is what I'm on
But I am lost for words their gone
the minute I look in her eyes
They fly away from me Im

The quiet man ,the quiet man
I dream of love but have no plan
The quiet man , the quiet man
I need someone to set me free.
I try and sail the sea of love
But those waves crash from up above
I need someone to shelter me
 From all demons fighting me
I have a lot of love to share
I just need someone who will care
And just accept me as I am
If only she could see me.

 Im The quiet man ,
the quiet man I
dream of love but have no plan
The quiet man , the quiet man
I need someone to set me free.

It's time to move away
 It's now or never hey
Pick up And throws these chains away...

 Im The quiet man ,
the quiet man
I dream of love but have no plan
 The quiet man ,
 the quiet man
I need someone to set me free
