Mixing software

Mixing with the Micro BR is definitely a lot more versatile than I had imagined it could be, using the BRtoWAV converter found here in the downloads and having the ability to mix on a computer is definitely an advantage however.

I have done this a couple times briefly with Sonar and the ease of seeing everything and being able to program automation in the Mix etc makes the whole process of mixing and mastering a lot easier.

I have used a program called Reaper that was suggested on a forum for Roland VS recorders a while back, you can download a free trial, last I checked it out, it was a free 30 day trial with no limitations and if you want to buy it it was very cheap compared to some other known software like Sonar, ProTools Cubase etc. - I am not sure if Reaper comes with plug in effects, but you can add 3rd party plug-ins to any software... so using some good plug-ins to what you record on the BR is always an option.

There is a lot of software that can do the same things though, so I figured a thread could be useful.

Never used Reaper, though it looks pretty nice. I used one with a similar name, Reason.

The last one I used was Ableton Live. It was great, especially the onboard synthetizer. It is really cool, I stopped using it because it needed a fairly powerful computer. 

But after all I still use Adobe Audition 1.5. Works every time and is fast.

I just tested that, it was very nice and light program for mixing, i have been using audacity until now but now i will use kristal, because it has nice EQ
