One of the Aldi gins, Oliver Cromwell, at 9.99 was recently voted one of the world's best gins. I have tried a bottle and it was nice. My recent favourite is Hortus gin from Lidl.. about 14.99 a bottle but again it's had a lot of favourable reviews.  I begrudge paying a lot for spirits as I drink them too quickly ! At those prices they're worth a try if you're dipping your toe in to the world of gin again.

I drink a variety of drinks, depending on what I feel like, but gin does very much seem to be the 'in' drink at the moment.

So the Bombay Sapphire factory is around 10 miles away from my house :-) (Whitchurch) Its always been my favourite gin, so I was suprised that its made down the road, and not in deepest India - you can book tours and all that.

If you haven't tried it - I would recommend it, I prefer it to Gordons :-)

We drink here Gin Long Drink (alc vol 5.5%). It is a mix of gin and grapefruit soda. So, you can make it by yourself; a little bit of gin and add grapefruit soda. We had it at NordicMet, but I can't remember did our guests like it... :-\
