THE DEVILS CLUB

lyrics & Vox by Kenny Mac

There's nothing wilder and stranger
Nowt as queer as folk
Everybody's got the place in a spin
Are they in on the joke?
Everybody's losing all control
There's a story ready to unfold
Everybody's in the danger zone
I'm a stranger and I'm all alone
It's like like a fizzing stick of dynamite
Ready to explode
Grab your head and hold on to your hat
Because it's gonna blow

(Chorus)

Everyone take your cover
Everyone keep real low
I can hear them call last orders
It's just another night at the club.
The devils club

Holy smoke my heart is pounding
And the voices are surrounding
Every cavity that's in the room
And I'm waiting for the sonic boom
I feel as if I'm going to loose it all
But I can feel the voice of reason call

(Chorus)

I can hear the voice of reason call
Saying get out of here
I can hear it and it's
Loud and clear

Now I'm feeling alright
I'm standing by the lamplight
Underneath the cool night
I guess that I was uptight
(Chorus)

Hey jim,
Thanks.
Bruno did everything musically ,I sent him a challenge to get me a rocker together as he's on fire at the moment with that new equipment of his and he accepted.
I needed to blow some cobwebs off and run with it.
I wrote the lyrics to Bruno's great music and did the backing vocals.
He sent me it last night I think and it gelled right away so I caught it while it was there.
A pleasure as usual.

A real rocker, loud and proud like I like them! Well done Bruno and Kenny....I hear a some ACDC influence in both the music and vocals, which is alright by me.

Listening to this while having my morning coffee and this awakes me better than coffee!!!
This is really cool rock'n roll with excellent tones and I can hear some kind of soul vibes, too.
Well performed music track and stunning vocals. Kenny's voice sounds different on some places!

I don't hold my hat, I take it off :D :D:D .Nice job, gents!!

Thanks guys. Kenny asked me if I had any rockers in the pipeline - so I sent him a wall of marshalls ;D ;D ;D ;D Hope  I didn't shock you too much Kenny! Great vocal performance by Kenny, bravo. Super rock lyrics as well, just what was required for the style of the track.

Drum loops are actually Punk Beta Monkey, although it sounded more AC/DC to me. The guitars were Kemper JMC 800 Marshals, MesaBoogie lead and Mark Bass. Having the Kemper makes thing really very quick, written and recorded in a couple of hours or so, I think because you plug in and everything sounds so correct. I'm not complaining!

Sent to Kenny a mastered track, and the vocal track came back next day, with a mix. The mixed track sounded like a beast/monster - so we posted it (despite it having a mastered backer). The MP3 Kenny sent was 256kbs, so had to downscale to 192kbs to get the file size down to fit. I may well mix again with the vocals, and then master to see if it sounds any better, but I doubt it will,
