Just bought one of these after loitering here for a while  ;)

Only a novice guitarist with a (small) handful of chords under my belt, but believe the BR will be an invaluable tool.

I look forward to 'interacting' with you all in this virtual world  ;D

Check out the 'post your work' thread to see just what's possible with a bit of talent and a BR.

I have just bought one of these little gadgets, small on the outside but big inside. Have yet to try any sort of recording because I always try and read the manual first.

Hopefully I will get some ideas on this forum for making tunes.

Keep on plucking.

Welcome AzJoe71.  I just checked your vids posted on your site.  Very nice playing, and what a beautiful guitar.  Make some music on the MicroBR and post it.  This is a really great site, you'll see.

Howdy folks!  First impressions this looks to be quite a nifty gadget and, using the battery powering option, I will even be able to record remotely in my sleigh - GREAT!  I very much look forward to getting to grips with this.  All the best from Captain Caribou

They are Brothers & Sisters one and all Greeny my friend!  'Rangifer Caribou', 'Woodland Caribou' - any of the several large caribou living in the coniferous forests of Southern Canada.  Yes, 'Elks' too in some classifications (included in the species 'Rangifer Tarandus')  Arctic deer with large antlers in both sexes; Simply referred to as`Reindeer' in Eurasia and/or `Caribou' in North America.  Definition:  A large gregarious DEER of holarctic taiga and tundra that usually has palmate antlers in both sexes.

Hope this helps! (PS: Luv yer tunes by the way!)

Thank you for making me feel so welcome folks!  It gets lonely here at night and it's good to know that there are indeed some of you out there who, not only care but also happen to be blessed with the true, living, breathing 'spirit of rock'!  On a different note (and admittedly being ever so slightly vain here!) I REALLY like the fact that I can also use this funky gadget as a handy compact mirror!!  It's great for perfecting my rock star 'magnum' look when out singing in the woods (and also for checking that my Ziggy stripe hasn't smudged!)  I am hoping to post my first effort here soon - STAY TUNED!!
All the best from Captain Caribou
PS: I have listened to many of your collaborative efforts here 'Sir Harry of Flash' and you are indeed truly blessed with 'The Mighty Excalibur of Rock!'  Keep your chosen instrument tuned to pitch and always at the ready for you have been given a mighty gift - use it wisely Daniel son!

That is a great sounding handle for the Flashy One.  I think you are going to fit in nicely here Captain Caribou.  I can't wait to hear what you come with.

Wow. Your name is very fitting - you definitely know your deer! lol :D

The BR is a good friend to have. As well as it's music-making potential, I didn't quite realise the power it has to connect like-minded people all over the world.

And that 'mirror' thing with the BR freaks me out sometimes - I suddenly catch sight of myself when I'm least expecting it  :D :D

I'm not sure you can - because it's the first post of a thread. I think only Admin can do that for you. I'm sure they will though. I still think you should stick around though.

Welcome Tim !! The Micro is one amazing little gizmo !! Changed my musical life and got me some great new friends all over the world ! If you're stuck on anything, don't hesitate to ask (drum-programming should be covered here somewhere and there's some links to some instructive youtube vids here somewhere .. I'll see if I can find them for you soon)

I'm sure I have the demo somewhere, but I think it also may be downloadable from Rolands homepages.

In Feb 2010, Pedro decided that running a website no longer fit into his life so he announced that he was closing Songcrafters. Of course, we were all very sad to hear this, so Pedro reconsidered and announced that he'd turn the site over to a new administration instead.

https://songcrafters.org/community/index.php?topic=6367.0 (https://songcrafters.org/forum/index.php?topic=6367.0)

He's still a member, but hasn't logged in since last summer. Though it's possible that he still visits the site occassionally without logging in.

We all owe Pedro a lot of gratitude for allowing the site to continue, and for creating it in the first place. Most of the features of the site were created by Pedro. We've made only minor improvements since taking over the site two years ago.

It's a wonderful and very informative forum and it's nice to be a part of. Thank you all.
But there is a problem, when I joined here two days ago, I was pretty happy with my br 80. But now after reading posts about the br800 I'm not so happy anymore. I've got an evil case of GAS for the br800.  ;D

Geiri... Welcome... and I loved your first posts. Trust me... even if you get another DAW... you will always find a use for yer BR80... And it's OK to get GAS... We all experience that feeling... Be happy about yer BR 80 purchase... you can't go wrong!!!

On This Day Bump

This was the first post on microrecorders.org 10 years ago today. Actually, it was the second post. The first has been deleted. I think the first was probably just a test post to make sure everything was working, which Pedro then deleted after it served its purpose.
