Weird scenes inside the goldmine

Here's another one. A slow but bluesy lament. Lyrics and vocals by me, over a backer.

The verse structure was too long to leave it open for guitar at the intro - therefore, it goes straight into the vocal. You'll have to content yourself with fills for a bit, THEN go absolutely nuts for a whopping great solo after verse two...  Cheesy

Have fun, blues-hounds.

I have to tell you - I absolutely LOVED doing these tracks! But they need a guitar to make them complete....

Well... I missed all the fun, so here's my effort at some blues lead - played on my Hofner semi with the Big Strum patch. As you all know, this kind of thing isn't really what I do, so it was a real big learning curve trying to stretch my limited 'A minor' pentatonic (I think!!!!) skills through a whole song. I chose this one because there's only one solo to fill - and even that was tough!!!!!!

It showed me (as if I didn't know already...) just how damn good some of you guys are. And that I should leave this kind of thing to the 'pros'  Cheesy

Anyway... I tried!

p.s. I'll try to catch up on as many posts as I can, but forgive me if I miss anyone...  Smiley

Thats great. What you may lack in flashy many note runs you more than make up in feeling every note and great bends.  It sounds like you had fun doing the guitar on this.

Nice job! I don't think BB King was well known for his lightning fast runs and tapping skills. Emotion and knowing when more is less are just as good in my book, and you did a great job here. Your guitar fits your vox very well, and kudos for having a go!

Cheers,

Nigel

Oh yes I do!!!! This was good practice (and kind of fun), but it showed me that I'm just not cut out to play lead. I don't have the skills or the patience to do it properly. Whereas the vocal part just flowed, this was forced and quite stressful. I'll stick to what I know best!!!!

Greeny, here is what I did with your blues tune. I actually added a lot more but removed most of it
during the editing session. Didn't want to crowd your fine vocal.
