NeilFest 2009 Index

I just had to get involved....You guys all sound so good!! If you're at all familiar with this song...you might not like my version lol....I play it a little different than Neil (sorry)...I kind of put my own little spin on it.  Oh, and it's LATE here, I don't have AC right now.  I had to have my windows open, and it felt like the neighbors were listening(especially the 3rd verse where I get a little loud)...It's hilarious really, you had to be here!! I didn't really take time to make a "proper" recording, but hey, maybe I can get my name on that cool poster now?!  Feel free to add anything!!

Sure glad you got involved Kody!!! This is soooooooooooo good!! Your playing and your great voice fits perfect to this song. Hearing Neil young after this will make him sound like a half-decent coverartist.

Great harmonies too !!

I'll put it in the Neilfest index.

Your neighbors should count themselves lucky to hear such a talented artist and musician for free!!!!! You tackle this one brilliantly, and always make it sound so effortless. Your vocals and guitar are in a different league. Another great festival addition!

Excellent! i agree with Greeny...your vox are in another league...and your guitar work is there with them. I have been rackin' my brain to think of who your vox remind me of...don't listen to alot of music anymore...and i'm thinking maybe the guy in Pearl Jam? a bit of Dave Mathews maybe? Whatever, i like 'em! You stay in your "comfort zone" vocally...and in so doing create your own style that is consistent. Very good lesson there. Great cover Kody.

Oh Kody, I don't know what it is.  But the way you play your guitar and sing it is a match made in heaven.  They just fit together so perfectly.  And the best one to harmonize with yourself is yourself.  Absolutely perfect.  Haven't heard the original song.  don't need to, this is it for me. Excellent job!

P.S. It's to bad someone couldn't put a little Wiley Van Halen to this. LOL

Nice job Kody - vox and guitar are nice and tight.   I like Neil's accoustic version much better than his electric version.  And your take on it was excellent.

Way to go Kody!
You took an already cool tune and made it your style.
I believe Neil would highly approve!
Bravo!
