Text to pic. F*ck it, I'm going home!

« on: July 28, 2009, 01:57:47 AM »

I know this may be a bit late for the festival, but what the heck? Couldn't get it done in the time.
Just a little thing by me and SteveG. He did the backing/vox/first lead bits, I did the second. There's no way I can follow his lead, tried and failed, so mine's a bit different Grin
Oh yeh, he did all the mastering and stuff too!!
Hope you like it

Nice work guys! I like the mellow but rocky feel you've given this. There's some great guitar all over this, and the vocals really work. Nice contrast on the two lead guitars too. Really enjoyable and a great festival addition!

We got there in the end! Don't other life commitments suck  Grin

Neither of us particularly like Joplin's version of this, so went for an "Origional" cover instead. Had to hack hell out of the bitrate to get it down to size......

Not too late at all, we are only just getting going.  I have a couple others in the works myself.

What a great frigging job guys.  The voice is excellent, very down and dirty, sounds great, the guitar work is top notch, SteveG plays like a man possessed and SteveM, yours fits perfectly with the mood thrown down, damn that is great playing guys.  I really enjoy this version!

As BB said, not late at all. The festival runs till August 17th (so you've still got time to do another one).  Wink

Liked this version guys, very much.....very chilled out and the drawl of the vocals fitted perfectly. The guitar was real slowhand stuff and the piece had a really nice, authentic feel - i could imagine walking in a smoky blues bar and hearing this......beautifully mastered as well, picked up a lot of tips from this, cheers.
