A bit raw but i like the live feel of this song , did it in one take , Guitar + Mic as Tim recommended ( which i will now use all the time) with just a little backing vox .
This was the first time i had heard this song , so i will play about with the different ways of singing it , the guitar is also tuned to DADGAD which also gives it a nice feel thanks

Beautiful job, really great Fm.  This sounds so good.  Guitar in + mic? I have never tried this before.  How do you set this up, record into two tracks? what effects? what gain setting? reverb setting? Can I have a few details please, if you don't mind.  This sounds like it was done in a studio.

Hi BB how you doing sir , thanks for the comments ,firstly create new song then press Guitar and Mic simultaneously and they will both go into large font , guitar will flash and their will be a + sign between them , then use the cursor to change between GT and MC to get the patches that you want for both , i only recorded on to one track for guitar   and vox together reverb about 45 , did'nt touch the gain (dont know how yet)

Fabulous, fabulous!!! Excellent work. Love it. You always put out high quality stuff!

I fooled with the GTR/MIC and got it to display GTR+MIC(I've done this before), but I can't see where you can switch between them. Only GTR will blink - I tried using the cursor buttons, but I could only switch to Sns and Rv.

Any thoughts?

I imagine that you folks are talking about the mbr!?  I'll have to take a look @ my br900 and see if can do same - realy liked the quality of the sound coming out.  I am a sucker for alternative tunnings when using the 12 str and drop d is a great one to strum on! Excellent song!!!  That is my kind of recording - few tracks!

Hey, really nice song. Never heard it before, but definitley has that "summer of love" feel to it.
The guitar and vocals both sound great.

Good work FM!

I don't remember the original song either... but like Vanncad, I think this really sounds like it fits in 'that time'.   I like the quality of your voice.

I'd completly forgotten this one-- always liked it----still do. Really great treatment of it.
Sounds like touch of early Jefferson Airplane there somewhere? Smiley

Bloody hell... I mean BLOODY HELL.... this is awesome. I love the way you sing this. It's beautiful and perfect. What a voice you have, and it works so well on this track. You give it real emotion and depth.

This is an incredible piece of work. I love it to bits.

I don't think you've had enough praise on this one.... !!!!!!!

Thanks tim , I was beginning to think I was the only one that liked this song , probably should have done another take , I felt the vox were a little strained in places , but trying to do a song in one take is what I'm after sometimes for a live feel , you,ve cheered me up now , thanks again mate

I first heard of Bert Sommer when I was looking at the performers list on here. After checking him out on YouTube, I can't believe that he's not more renowned (or maybe he is and I just don't know it!). I think he's fantastic - I'll be getting his stuff on CD when I can. I could hear all the things I'm aiming for in his songs. So I also know what a magnificent job you made of this one. And I'm glad you got on with the GTR+MIC technique - it really is the best of both worlds! And you've made it sound very organic and natural.

The vox didn't sound strained at all. They sounded like a perfect fit to me. I'd love to see you do this one live!

It really is special.
