This is a nice, smooth version of Goin' Up the Country... very easy to listen to. Guitar and vocals sound clean and it's a novelty having the flute (recorder?) on there too.  Good job!

Always loved this song, and this is a great version - I like the "stay drunk all the time" part... Cheesy

Excellent vocals, guitar and keyboard playing!!

Really great job Wiley, you play all the instruments yourself, really great job.  I can just hear you sitting in your little camp up there in the country singing this.

Nice job Wiley! I have a set of pan pipes and i think they are tricky as hell to play...you did well....on all of it. No offense to your gender but i bet there isn't one girl in 10,000 that could play, sing, and record and put this all together as well as you have. Good work...i love this song by the way....Canned Heat was always a bit off the beaten path.

Sorry Oskillo,
I didn't mean to pull a fast one. LOL  The pan pipes are the ones on my keyboard. Although I do have one.  But not to good at it. And thanks for the big compliment Pinedog.  Maybe I should do something I know one of these days.  I just threw that together this afternoon.  Missed out on the Neil Fest. Might get another worked out if I have time.  You know we have that relentless teacher prodding us on. LOL  Thanks to all of you!

Sorry Oskillo,
I didn't mean to pull a fast one.

I Knew it was a keyboard silly!
Was saying it was very well pulled off!

No shame in playing Synth!

People seem to think of it as something of a dirty secret!
If it sounds good (And aint a sample riff...thats just cheating), Who really cares what it was played on!

To get that Pan Pipe feel from a synth is Very Cool!
To make it sit right in this kind of tune is even cooler!

Very well done P.J!

Peace

Great cover. The bass is brilliant (of course), but you've pulled off a really full-sounding production on this. Excellent vocals and keyboards. Excellent everything!

I realy like your arrangement of this tune...  And yes, without the flute sound it would not be the same song!  And the quality of the recording was very good!!!
