NeilFest 2009 Index

Well, decided to go electric for this installment of Neilfest.  One of my all time favorite songs from NY.  I tried to make it sound "live".  It is all played by me straight into the microBR.  Long live Neil Young.  This took me most of the afternoon, into the evening.

BB - You rock, man!! Had a day away from the 'puter myself, just catching up. A great job on this - and with not a lot of time into it I'm even more impressed.

Big guitar talent!!

Many thanks, in the spirit of NY, I tried to lay this down as quickly as possible, rough and ready, first take of everything, kind of thing.  Also to try to get something up for the Neilfest quickly without taking my usual 2-3 weeks of fussing around.  Its hard to keep up with Greeny and Geir, man those guys are quick!!!  I am glad I didn't kill this song too badly in my rush to get something of NY posted.  Like I said, it was suposed to sound "live"  Roll Eyes Cheesy

Nice one, BB. You've played and mixed this to perfection, and doesn't sound rushed at all. I agree... it has a 'live' vibe which works extremely well. Don't worry... no songs were killed in the making of this!

Well done Bluesberry, good production on this one. I don't know the song myself but this has a good NY vibe to it.

Hey! Congratulations on the 1,000 posts!!!!
Eek, missed that one, must spend waay too much time on here, only been here about 6 months!

Sorry to take this OT Bluesberry, back to focusing on Winterlong. I also like the solo at the end. I'm amazed you could turn this out in a few hours - this level of production would take me many hours.

Cheers,

Nigel
