NeilFest 2009 Index

Well ... didn't want the pianorecording go to waste ... (Tried this before "Birds" ) .. so even if my voice is not quite back where it should be, I had a stab at it today ...... Both this and Birds where suggested as pianobased song I could try on my newly tuned piano, by Greeny and SdC

Yes!!!!! Cool as cool can be - Geir the piano man!!! Just as the song should be, and your vox gave it that extra twist to make it your own. I am fully impressed.

Love it!!

So much to be said for minimal productions. Clean, honest, well sung and performed. The essence of good music. Good song Geir.

This is so perfect. The piano is beautiful, but you make the vocal your own. Stunning stuff. AGAIN!!!!!

This is one of myfave NY songs and you did it justice. Your bvoice isn't quite there compared to Birds but you still did a great job. Super piano playing.

Cheers,

Nigel

The vocal delivery is so good that I almost didn't notice the absence of guitar!

Time for a shameless selfbumb disguised by answering an unanswered quistion Roll Eyes
Excellent mate , the piano's tone recorded so well on the Mbr , what setting did you have it on
As far as I can recall  ( I had very high fever at the time, probably the bird flu) I used the Yoga stereo mic to record the piano. I think I used the P01:Flat preset on the mbr for this one. and probably "P04:live mix" for the mastering.

and thanks for the feedback guys!!

The only good thing I remember from that week is that I got my Morgan acoustic .... (I should have been in Scotland and had planned to meet up with James, but was in bed all week)
