Following on from 'Fields of Gold', here's another joint effort from ronniejm and myself, with Ronnie on guitar and me on vocals. The bird sounds are taken from Kate Bush's album 'Aerial' (a little bit of a homage to my favourite recording artist...). Anyway - here it is. And thanks to Ronnie for playing it so beautifully

Sounds great Tim and Ronnie. The singing and the playing. The guitar tone and playing is so clean and I like the spacial effect created when the vocal gets doubled at 'black bird fly....black bird fly.....' And the metronome (little brother of the Laughing Gnome) takes care of the percussion. Very enjoyable! |

Very, very nice. One well played guitar, one well sung vocal, its all you need. Musical perfection on this one. The bird sounds are taken from Kate Bush's album 'Aerial' (a little bit of a homage to my favourite recording artist...).
I agreee with you about Kate Bush. She is probably my favorite female recording artist also. Nice taste in music you have. |

Didn't the original version also have a barely audible metronome? If so, another great 'homage'! I really dug this. |

Rumour has it, (and it's on the internet so it must be true) that the click track on the original, was paul macartney tapping his foot on the studio floor. Pretty cool thing if it's true, and it kinda does sound like a foot tapping....I tried it for this one....total disaster, settled for a metronome. mibbes it had something to do with carpets and slippers |

This qualifies for the Woodstock Tribute festival as Crosby, Stills & Nash performed it at Woodstock: I'll add Greeny and Ronniejm's version now. If anybody finds any other previous posts I've missed that qualify for the Woodstock Tribute festival, let me know. |
