A few days late but here's this years re-write of last year's mock up. Happy New Year to all! Sandy. Lyrics: It's Christmas Timeby Sandy GrittIt's Christmas time It's Christmas time It's Christmas time oh yea.
It's Christmas time in the city It's Christmas time on the scene Those coloured lights they're looking pretty Hanging up since Halloween
It's children's favourite time of year Gonna get a dose of Christmas cheer All the season's joy seen through their eyes Wishing for a sweater in my size
'Cause it's Christmas time Christmas time It's Christmas time It's Christmas time
People from all around Are heading homeward bound Good friends drop by, we're getting high The feeling's so profound
And another year has passed us by Let's have a round of Auld Lang Syne The new year brings a brand new start Love and hope to spare so fill your heart Winter is cold so bundle up Pour a little Baileys in my cup Some wind and rain or snow and sleet My weight in chocolate I'm gonna eat
'Cause it's Christmas time, etc...

Same as it ever was...yeah baby. Thats a crisp guitar line, there is a sweet underbelly to this one, it makes me want to get all loopy. |

Love it Sandy, that bass and guitar melody line is soooo infectious, and I love the fretless-ish sound on the chorus . Great funky guitar and vocals just dripping with cool - great sound. Very nice production as well and a superb drum track. Huge fun and I'm really glad you updated this.
My alternative Xmas number one!!!!
Cheers,
Nigel |

Good song Sandy. Catchy guitar and well chosen rythm. Singing and choiring blends perfectly. Two thumbs up!!! |

What a great new Christmas tune! It almost sounds like it could have been a lost track from 'Sandinista!' or 'Combat Rock', but it's funkier and with your signature style. You definitely got the funk, brother. |

Well I had Mick Jagger in my head while singing the first verse. |

That insistent snare just drives this along, demanding that I dance like a chicken ... Not just a Christmas song - a New Year's song, too. Love the "Bailey's in a cup" line. This is the time of year to spike just about any non-alcoholic beverage. Those slashes of guitar are wicked, definitely remind me of the Clash. This one just gave me a much-needed mid-afternoon kick in the pants. |
