I had a few hours and needed a break from another Beatles song coming up (some of those bass-lines are impossible Roll Eyes )

Screaming my lungs out, I guess I should have tuned down the guitar instead of using a capo Cheesy

I'm Looking Through You
words/music : Lennon&McCartney
Performed by Geir
Instruments:
12 & 6 string acoustic guitar
electric bass
electric guitar
egg shaker
thigh
belly

Fantastic cover Geir. Your vocal range is amazing. The sounds compiled in this one is a labor of love isn't it? You got a red belly now don't you?

Very, very nice!  I especially like the "thigh" and "belly" instruments -- if I can find them at the local guitarcenter I think I will buy some!

Awesome, Geir!

Great cover of one of my favorite Paul songs from 'Rubber Soul'. The belly and thigh slaps are inspired, love the fuzz lead, and even if you had to scream, your vocals still sound great!

Top notch.

cheers,
cuth

p.s. I hope your throat is okay...I recommend hot lemon tea with honey.  Grin

Nice one Geir...I miss Ringo's keyboard part a bit but I like how you've done it on guitar.

Gear, Geir. Belly-tastic, thigh-high stuff. yea, the vox are slightly strained, but they sound great. Good work, fella!!

F*ck me... this is a stunner. I love this song. In fact, I rate the whole of the Rubber Soul album right up there with the Beatle's best work. This is a very hard song to tackle, so to say you've really done a great job with this is an understatement. Everything about it feels right. I love it. Love the shaker and body percussion too!

As for being frustrated with Paul's bass lines, I know exactly what you mean. I had to abandon all hope of emulating him (or even getting close), and just ended up doing my own thing. He's way too tricky and far too clever, lol.

Fantastic! So great to hear that classic Geir vocal sound in this range, and with harmony! The guitars are spot-on and the hand percussion works great. A really well done performance and production.  Lots of fun!   Smiley

Another winner. I was gonna have a go at this one but thank god you posted yours first. I could probably have ruined the Beatles reputation for ever if my version was ever let loose.   Grin   Top quality as always........Willie

Great cover performance Geir!!  I really dig the percussion ~ sweet ~ i kinda dig the way you scream out the vox on this one, adds some great energy!  ...makes me want to scream right along with ya.
