It didn't take long to figure out who I was going to cover first, as Dave is a forum hero of mine and a huge source of inspiration and courage for me.

While Skyping with Geir, I was talking about how I was going to cover Dave, and he said "Not without me". And the rest is history!

The lineup:

Piano: Geir
Guitar: Mark
Vocals: Geir and Mark
Bass: Geir
Bass Solo: Geir

I hope you like it, Dave. You are the Man!! Geir, you are a man of many talents - This was my favorite collab yet!

Perfection is, broadly, a state of completeness and flawlessness

    1. which is complete — which contains all the requisite parts;
    2. which is so good that nothing of the kind could be better;
    3. which has attained its purpose.

What a huge and pleasant surprise this is.  Thank you guys.  I am floored.  You know, the instrumentation is perfect, kinda hazy sounding, thats how I envisioned this one would sound if ever fleshed out.  I think it is perfect.  Great smoky vocal there mark, the harmonies really take it over the top.  I am humbled, thanks very, very much.  I am getting that warm and squishy feeling again.  I am, going to listen again.  So great.

Whoa, this Cover/Tribute Fest is really starting off with a bang - that backing sounds almost classical, and your voices mesh very well.

Great job, fellas!

What a tribute!!

Damn Mark - I think your vocals sound really good for this music. Geir's haunting backing vox fit perfectly in there too!

Damn again!!! - I'm floored all the way around. This is really cool!!

I remember the original from Saijinn's challenge.  You two have done a great balancing act between honoring the original song, and bringing yourselves to it.
