I'm confused. I thought New Jersey just had a major winter storm with up to 2 feet of snow. So how come the trees in your photo have green leaves and there isn't a snowflake in sight?  Huh

Cool guitar Jim !! I think I'll take my friends advice and buy a new car ... and instead of buying a BMW, I'll buy a Skoda, then I will have money left to buy a Tele, a Strat, a Les Paul and ...... a jacuzzi !! Roll Eyes Grin

That's a fine looking Tele, Jim. I'm a real Tele lover, and would always go for a maple neck like this. Squier are getting some very good reviews in the guitar mags at the moment. They have a 'classic vibe' range of strats, teles and basses that look amazing and apparently play beautifully too. I've always been of the opinion that the cost of guitars is irrelevant, and it's how they feel to YOU that counts.

Yup, I love my Tele very much, it has become my go to guitar lately, it does what it does very well, nothing fancy, but it lets you play it the way you feel at the moment.  Wonderful, every guitarist needs a Tele in the stable I think.  It is also very good for finger-picky kind of stuff.

I am really enjoying this new Guitar, such a different animal from my Les Paul.
I still can't believe that the Guitar was under 200 dollars!! just Amazing!
The pickups respond very well even with heavy distorstion and It doesn't even have Pickup Noise. I am a happy camper!!    Telecasters Rule!!

Telecasters can pretty much do anything, but there are times when only a Les Paul will do. So you have all bases covered now!

Well... that's before I started hankering after a semi-hollow ES-335 type guitar to complete my collection, lol. And some Danelectro sixties surf-twang. Will this GAS never end?! ha ha

I've been GAS-free for many months, until today.

I just picked up one of these, used, for $115 US.

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d4-SYz3_BCA">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d4-SYz3_BCA</a>

It'll be next week before I get to play with it.

BTW: Howsabout we use this topic for general GAS attack confessions?  You okay with that, Jim?

The Squier is identical to the one you hear on well over half my recordings.  You'll love it.  I don't do the bridge pickup much but love the middle position, and the neck position is great for blues.

Congrats.
