Here is my Sunday night project.  I just had to get one more in before the weekend was up and its back to work.  I love The Band, here is a great one of theirs, I had to do some more harmonies to make it sound right.  Simple song, but really great.  Peace.

All played by me (acoustic, strat, bass) into the microBR.  As for the harmonies, I had a little help from my new toy, the Harmony-G.

Hey, BB - It's bedtime for the Newfies, ain't it? (I had a buddy from St. Stephen that used to hate when I called him that  Cheesy We went to Husson College in Bangor, ME together.)

You found a really cool niche, man - those harmonies are to die for. I love this!! I don't have a lot of Band stuff, but a friend of mine does, so I've heard a bit.

I have to say it again - those verse and chorus harmonies were perfectly put together. It's a short song, so I've listened to it four times since I've written this - this is so good it sounds like it came off a record.

Your best vocal performance I have ever heard so far.

I frickin' love it!

(I'll stop now so I don't sound like an weirdo..)

Thanks for the listen guys, I had to get this one done, I was inspired and didn't want the mood to get lost.  I started at 7:00 pm and 4 hours later had it done, I just had to finish and get er posted before I crashed, and to read your great comments really makes me feel good.  I can crash now.  Thanks T and Mark, your comments really mean a lot to me.  I may not be able to sleep for a while though, I am riding high from finishing this song!!

Wow, BB... you are definitely channeling the spririt of The Band in this one. What a terrific job - in all respects. You hit those harmonies really well, and mixed them in beautifully. It's a great song, and I can understand why you're on a high with it!

Sounds great and more fabulous harmonies - you're on a roll there! But it stops suddenly afetr 1:30. Is that intentional or am I just having some problems with the player? It was sounding great up til then, you are truly inspired!

Cheers,

Nigel

Thanks for the comments, Nigel the player works for me, for sure it goes past 1:30. in fact it is just getting to a good part  Wink, you will have to give it another go.  Once I started working on this song, I became like a man possessed, I just couldn't stop until finished, that happens sometimes doesn't it.  It was sounding so good as I was laying it down I just had to get it finished and posted.  I tried to give the instrumentation a "Band" feel, especially that bass line, I am no bass player so I was happy with how that turned out.

As for the harmonies, I had a little help from my new toy, the Harmony-G.
