Sneaking this one in as my last DIYFest entry since the banner is still up. I expected to finish this one quicker but I have some family staying with me and that brought me ThumbJam to play with. This is my first recording using it and I'm super stoked! 3 uke tracks 1 bass 1 minty coin drum 1 vocal 1 pedal steel (thumbjam) 1 flute (thumbjam) Fooled Me Twice written & performed by Hook Rogue baritone ukulele, Peavey bass, icebreaker mints, thumbjam

Interesting mix of instruments, and that slightly 'removed' vocal is perfect.
Nice chord progressions too.
Minty coin drum - that's intriguing.....
I like. |

This is soooooo 60's, it hurts. I can see the paisley shirt, and the camera zooming in and out in black and white ... The Hook-meister strikes again. Great, great track bro - and man, your lyrics, wow!
On futures face lies a grin Comforting yet clearly sin

Superb.
"Deceived me not once but fooled me twice"
It's worth the price of admission just for that, but the whole lyric is great.
Really interesting tune, arrangement, everything.
Brilliant creation. |

Excellent tune. The writing and recording and performance are all good. And even though I don't always pay proper attention to the lyric, here it's very good. I love that chorus all around. |

Fully absorbing your Frank Sinatra-like swagger, bro! And the music is refreshing - Sounds like something that might have come from a 60's movie, it's awesome!
I dig it! |
