Weird scenes inside the goldmine

WWW
« on: June 29, 2012, 07:34:13 am »

Some acoustic guitar(s), vocals, and a bit of iPhone cello.

Very, very basic chords and songwriting. It's nice to go back to basics sometimes  Smiley

Hopefully will be around a bit more from now on. My job is going in 2 months, so I'm less worried about who sees me frittering away my working hours on here  Cheesy

Excellent! I've been listening to this on Soundclick for the past week or so. What a great song. Reminds me of Paul McCartney.

I don't understand SoundClick's charts. When I look at the current BritPop chart, "Six String Heart" isn't on it.

http://www.soundclick.com/genres/charts.cfm?Genre=Alternative&subGenreID=30

Yet, when I look at the latest 200 for the same chart, it's #5!!!

http://www.soundclick.com/genres/charts.cfm?Genre=Alternative&subGenreID=30&latest200=true

How the heck is that possible?

Anyway, I think we should all listen to this song on SoundClick at least once a day until we push it to #1. Smiley

Love that bluesy pick you have mixed in there!! It really makes the song, and the tone is out of this world.

A truly well crafted tune - Greenypod!

it's a beautiful tune, Tim.
I especially love how the string enter at about 1:07.
There is something special about the combination of your vocals and the strings, pure sweetness.

I'm always impressed with your sound scapes.
It seems as if I can sit in the middle, on a stool and watch/listen to all the goodies go by.

Another beauty Greeny song. Love the song, that acoustic playing, and of course the vocals are always pure.

Yep, nice one.

That cello really works, lifts the "back to basics" to somewhere else Smiley

I've been trying to "get back to basics" recently. A couple have gone ok, but the one I'm working on is missing something. It definitely doesn't want an AndyR big production on it, so I just keep recording it until it might be "right"... hearing this though, I might nick give the cello idea a go!! Cheesy
