nearly missed this one-
jaaaz that brought back some memories I can tell you
nearly every pub in Dublin years ago had at least one night a week ballad session -it was really big time --
The Abbey Tavern in Howth springs to mind -if you werent in by 7/8 you would'nt get in at all -
but the folk and ballad scene has all died off and so have the pubs for that matter.
the event of one guy and his backing tracks also did'nt help
but the good days will be back
