Don't Think it.....PLAY IT!

« on: May 31, 2012, 01:56:01 pm »

An original slide composition Cool
As much as I enjoy playing traditional slide and Old School Delta blues on the Resonator
As soon as I switch to electric and create a “Ry Cooder” type  tone my soul soars
I have tried real hard to get the light and shade of his style but I am still a long way off but am happily plodding down to the crossroads….
Hope you all like it…………….

I'm playing open D....... I find it suits this Ry style more.
I'm playing my Tele into my Pod X3 on a patch I created direct into the mic (no interface)and Then into Audacity

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet playing, Mike!!  What a tone, the reverb is killer and the strings sound crisp.

Love it!

Now this is special.  You sound like a total pro here Mike.  Tone, attitude, soul, its all here.  Very nice.  I like Open D a lot, it is one of my favorites for sure.  Open C is also pretty cool.  You can't beat open D for slide.  You have it going on man.
