The Stones and Aerosmith did a cover of this but mine is in the style of the original by “Mississippi Fred McDowell”…….. Just 2 simple tracks make up this delta blues  No effects or tricks Praise the Lord!

Excellent recording, Mike. You've really captured that Delta Blues sound. Unfortunately, covers don't qualify for the DIY Fest. Since the idea is to do everything yourself, that includes the songwriting. See the rules which I posted at the start of the festival here: http://songcrafters.org/community/index.php?topic=15129.0At first, I couldn't make up my mind whether to allow covers or not, so I asked the rest of the admin team. The consensus was that this festival should be originals only in keeping with the idea of doing everything yourself. Perhaps in the future we could have a DIY Covers Fest which would be only covers. |

What a great cover Rev! Mississippi Fred McDowell is my favourite blues artist, and a tough one to cover. Great tone and feel on this. Ever think of doing Red Cross Store? I bet you'd do a great job of it too! |
