Hi,

This is my first recording with the Uke.

It's a bit of an experiment really but was good fun to do, can't do the high notes like Brian tho!

Lanikai Tenor Uke

Really excellent, Burtog!

You've got a lot of that Pet Sounds vibe in your production, and your voice has a similar register to Brian's. Don't sweat those high notes too much...not very many outside of Brian Wilson himself (and over 40 years ago, at that) can hit those cleanly!  Cheesy

If you'd like to enter it into a fest, it's a shade over two minutes, but I think it definitely fits in to Singer-SongwriterFest!

Wonderful! The uke sounds great. Excellent production too.

can't do the high notes like Brian tho!

Yeah, but you've got a BR-800 with those vocal harmony effects. Couldn't you do the high parts with that?

Enjoyed this thoroughly. Never realized how acrobatic this vocal was.  Excellent post.

You have really captured the Brian Wilson vibe on this.
The production and sound was spot on.
Your new toy (Uke) sounds pretty good too! Grin Grin

Great song nicely played.  The uke really makes it.  There's a great feel to it.  Well sung too.  It's a tough one.  The Beach Boys have always made me feel inadequate when I try to sing their songs.
