I was happy in the haze of a drunken hour

Another week, another cover.  This time one of the greatest two chord songs, from the time when U2 were my band and nobody else had heard of them.

I was just singing and playing into the on-board mic's on the Zoom.  The whole thing took about one and a half hours.

Haven't actually had a copy of the original anywhere in my collection for probably 20 years.  Had to download the lyrics.  Came out alright though, I think

Nick, loved it!!!!!! Put a huge smile on my face, you've done a fantastic take, feel like I am back in 1981, my girlie at the time was trying very hard to get me to like U2, and I only liked this and Twilight for ages (until War I suspect). It's got a real rough edge, but suits the song perfectly - fantastic, well done!

Wasn't sure if I was gonna like this from the first verses but when all the instruments came in I was overcome by the urge to dance again (and I've not had a drink tonight). The wife must think I'm going mad! Really enjoyed your posts over the last few months!

Thanks everyone.  Had a lot of fun kicking this song around like an old football.

Great to hear I made you dance again, Pete...
