Thank you, Facemask,  for the serendipitdous bump for "Butchering the Beatles." This version of "Tomorrow Never Knows" is mostly live from a Sunday night jam. It started rather spontaneously when I asked the drummer if he happened to know the tune. I hit record, and the bed track popped out.

I added the tamboura and tabla outro, and there's a subtle flute patch toward the end from a Kaossilator. Unfortunately, the bass was generating major hum due to the direct out of an amp, so I re-cut it in my own excessive (yet oh-so-loveable) way.

I'm sure I'll have another go or three at mixing it, but I'm too tired right now.

Definitely one for the Psych-fest! This is a real aural trip. Absolutely amazing. Feels nice and loose but never out of control. As always, your guitar work is stellar.

I love this one to bits.

Bang-up job on this, Blooby!

One of my favorite Beatles song, from probably my all-time favorite album, and you guys did it great and with your own style. The style on this reminds me of both West Coast Psych (early period) as well as the later period between psychedelic and the transition to acid rock. Well done, sir.

That swarmandal strum sounds familiar...is that the iTanpura you're using? I have that app (and I really like it).

Good ear, mate.

It's actually from iTabla.  I assume it's the same company.  Love the app, but damn, it was more expensive than I was expecting.  Definitely need to look at the bottom line before hitting "download."

Thanks for listening, folks.

Great version - reminds me of how Grateful Dead used to do this, except your guitar work is cleaner than Garcia's was at that point in his life. Funky drumming really drives this one - has the feel of Stop Making Sense-era Talking Heads.

Superb pyschedelic freak out Blooby, I love this song and I really enjoyed the jam here. Great playing all round and I really like the vox in particular. You could tweak the mix a little, there seems to be a fair amount of middle when I listen on monitors, but that's a minor thing - the playing and atmosphere you create here is excellent. MoO-tastic.

Cheers,

Nigel
