Where the heck did that come from?

This is a cover of a lesser know songwriter, Walter Egan, from the east coast of the USA. The song is Magnet and Steel. I've always liked this song for it's 50's vibe and those very cool backing vocals. I'm new to the site so I'm still fumbling around with how to do things. I would like to put this in the Localfest but after an hour I still don't know how to designate it to that spot. So I'm just gonna post it here in cover songs. I did all the instruments and vocals but a friend of mine, K. Huhn, played the drums. The guitar on the left (lead guitar) is a Jagmaster and the guitar on the right is a Strat. Amp is Fender Pro Jr. The bass is a Jazz bass. The vocal mic is a Neumann TLM103.

Incredible cover. The vocals are fantastic, and the instruments are brilliant. I can't believe I've been fortunate to hear two absolutely superb covers of such a good song. Shadowself just completed this one a few weeks ago.

Nice job, Farrell.

I'm new to the site so I'm still fumbling around with how to do things. I would like to put this in the Localfest but after an hour I still don't know how to designate it to that spot. So I'm just gonna post it here in cover songs.

There's no special place for festival song posts. Just post it in the appropriate board (Originals, Covers, etc.), as you've done, and add the festival name to the subject of your topic. I take care of the rest.

Welcome Farrell,

I think i`ve heard this song on an Oldies station before. Your vox are extremely good and your productions are amazing. Always great to have newbies but you really are not a newbie to my ears.

This is pro!!  Excellent work!!
