Just to get involved in the Woodstock project...  Grin

I don't know if I'll have time to get something new recorded, so I thought I'd post this, since Paul Butterfield played it at the festival. I recorded it in 2004 on the BR-864 that I had at the time. Since this was a song that everyone seemed to have played and/or recorded, I tried to do something just a little different with it.

Very good, Frank.  Had my foot tappin'.
I couldn't remember who played this at Woodstock but while listening to your version it sort of reminded me of Sly and the Family Stone!  The funky beat and the chorused (or phased..?) bass line.  Great percussion!

Thanks very much, Osckilo and Hooper! I didn't remember that Paul Butterfield played this at Woodstock. I didn't even remember that Paul Butterfield was at Woodstock. LOL!

This was very early in my "recording career". I didn't have a bass. The bass was my 6-string Jay Turser through one of the BR bass simulators. I didn't have my Roland v-drums yet either. The drums were played an an old Yamaha DD-55. In case you're not familiar...

I thought a cheesy electronic percussion voice would be cool. LOL!

Nice funky feel here, not what I expected when I saw the song as I only know the Cream version! Good smooth guitar work here and a nice sound, the cheesy percussion works for me.

Cool version Frank...alot of good riffage and the guitar tone was sweet. I thought the bongos gave it a neat vibe. Always liked the song and you did a fine job of it here.

I'm only familiar with the Cream version of this, but I can tell you've done a fab job. I was waiting for some vocals, then found myself singing along anyway! You've given it a fresh spin, for sure. There's some great guitar-work here. Top quality all round.

Thanks, everyone. I really appreciate the kind words.

Charlie, you've heard this before. It's on that old CD of mine, that I sent you a few years back. You know, the one your beer is sitting on. LOL!
